CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – WILD CARD residency in Belgrade

Life Long Burning WILD CARDS is part of the European project Life Long Burning, developed and organized by a network of twelve partner institutions (4Culture/RO, CCN Montpellier/FR, Cullberg Ballet/SE, danceWEB/AT, Het Veem Theater/NL, Lokomotiva/MK, Station/RS, Tala Dance Center/HR, Uferstudios/DE, Ultima Vez/BE, Workshop Foundation/HU, workspacebrussels/BE).

The program aims at fostering the transnational circulation of artistic development and the further education in the field of contemporary dance and choreographic research. It consists of residencies, choreographic researches with established companies as well as scholarships for further education for emerging choreographers and professional dancers. 

In the frame of the Life Long Burning Wild Cards, Station (Serbia) is offering a two-weeks residency in Belgrade to its Wild Card partner Uferstudios Berlin (Germany).

When: 
1.) Any time in the period from July 1 to December 15, 2015
2.) During Kondenz Festival (second half of October 2015)

Where: Station's venue in Magacin, Belgrade, Serbia

The program offers:
-        2 weeks residency
-        travel, accommodation for 1 person plus a production budget of 1.000 euros

Application requirements:
-        current CV
-        letter of motivation
-        project proposal of max. 2 pages
ALL DOCUMENTS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH!

Extra requirements of the participating artist:
1.) Giving a workshop (half a day) to young dancers, mostly students of dance between 16 and 19 years old.
2.) Presenting your work in a public setting. You can choose your own format, either talking about the work, showing excerpts or the full work. The audience will be mostly from the professional dance field.
