Héctor Espuela Pablo

Capacity Grid 2026

Héctor Espuela Pablo (They/Them-She/Her) is a performance and visual artist born in Spain and based in Belgium. She graduated in dance from the Bachelor in Dance in the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (2024) upon completing the Professional Conservatory of Barcelona in Institut del Teatre in the Contemporary Dance department (2019). Currently, Héctor is pursuing a Master's Degree in Dance in the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, as well as a Visual Arts degree in the Online University of Barcelona. She is establishing a dance company entitled antramaliada, and has participated in the last edition of the Festival Europalia in Belgium.

Héctor’s main research and interest depicts her own gender struggle, transforming her own personal experience in the creation of satiric and bizzare “metatheatrical” worlds that make use of gendered narratives, pop culture and collective archives. She applies techno-feminist perspectives to break the gender codes that are embedded in our behaviour and construct our ontologies as a social fiction. Héctor’s cross-disciplinary recodification of these algorithms serves as a tool to embody critique and freedom.

Tour Through Tanztage

Tour Through Tanztage is a peer to peer event which takes place during Tanztage Berlin. In the frame of our programme Capacity Grid, two of our partners send artists to Berlin, together with local artists they get the chance to browse through the festival. In 2026, Moving in November sends Lydia Touliatou.
