Maciej Sado is a choreographer, dancer, performer, dramaturg, teacher, curator and whatever the precarious world of expanded dance and choreography requires to survive. He holds a Master of Arts from AdBK Nürnberg, a Bachelor’s degree in choreography from SNDO (School for New Dance Development) at AHK Amsterdam, and a Medical Degree from the Medical University of Wrocław. His work and research turned around Imitation Imperative, Endings, Aftermath of things, Materiality of objects, Queer masculinities, and Crocheting. Lately looking for a hobby.

As part of the On the Outset, Sado will have the opportunity to expand his artistic, academic and organisational knowledge through the preparation, implementation and documentation of the upcoming Life Long Burning project modules, as well as other programmes run by Uferstudios GmbH, and has been commissioned to carry out the following tasks:

° Research into relevant subject areas and the conceptualisation of the modules and programmes to be implemented, in close collaboration with the project management (Creative Crossroads Residencies, Capacity Grid and Performance Situation Room).
° Coordination of and communication with project participants on behalf of Uferstudios GmbH, as well as invited artists and cooperation partners.
° Organising and managing the technical production of events, including the implementation of effective public relations measures.
° Dramaturgical production assistance at the partner organisation NDA Slovenia in the frame of Outsetters Abroad.
° Data collection and support with EU reporting on the project’s progress, as well as documentation of live events on site.
 

Sado thus curates, designs, analyses and researches artistic and discursive exchange, research and laboratory processes in collaboration with the Uferstudios team, the cooperation partners of the Life Long Burning network and local cooperation partners.
