danceWEB is looking for young dance critics/researchers/independent dance curators/artists interested in getting to know the contemporary dance scene in Bulgaria.

The 4^th edition of the Bulgarian Dance Platform is taking place from 16–20 May in Sofia, hosting performances, discussions and artist gatherings. It presents a collection of choreographic work performed by selected independent dance artists, who explore the boundaries of choreography and movement and aim at challenging aesthetics and forms.

When: 16–20 May 2024

Where: Sofia, in the frame of the International Festival of Contemporary Dance and Performance Antistatic.

The offer includes:

If the selected participant is interested in writing an article for the Bulgarian Dance Platform, a platform can be provided where the text can be published.

Who can apply:
Only young dance critics/researchers/independent dance curators/artists coming from and/or residing in Austria are eligible to apply.

Application requirements:

– a motivation letter, max. 1 page
– a current CV, max. 1 page
to danceWEB, who will implement the selection.
All documents need to be sent in English.

The selected participant has to provide a written feedback report after the participation!
