Expose: Carson's Cry / Research sharing

Performance Situation Room

Carson’s Cry emerges from a collective reading of Anne Carson’s text The Gender of Sound. By inviting Una Bauer, Ivana Bojanić, and Nina Gojić to join her, Anna Javoran initiates a shared time dedicated to a search for a meeting point between each participant’s individual interests and practices, theoretical and practical, thus creating a collective field of research as a response to the propositions of the initial material. During this sharing session, texts created before, during, or after the research process will be read alongside excerpts from the readings undertaken together. Through this attempt, this quest, three branches of exploration, three echoes of a cry, and three responses to the historically restrained, (self-)disciplined, and oppressed voices have emerged.
