This Performance Situation Room in Vienna, which assembles two artists and their works – one live at WUK, one with video and sound material at mumok cinema. Both counter the withdrawal into digital or social bubbles, instead promoting the sharing of time and space, allowing for sensual pleasure as well as resistance, as in Ewa Dziarnowska’s This resting, patience. Maud Blandel offers insight into sonic and visual materials of her newest work Same Old Songs. Inspired by Virginia Woolf’s Three Guineas (1938), it transforms the anti-war essay, which understands war as a patriarchal issue, into a psychedelic, ultra-energetic hallucination.
